Meet The Team

Dipti

Dr Dipti Lad – Principle Dentist - GDC no. 82180

Dipti qualified in 2003 with an honours degree from the University of Leeds. She gained a distinction in Clinical Dental Surgery and the prestigious Williamson medal in Paediatric Dentistry.

Since graduating, she has spent all of her time in general practice, treating a wide variety of patients, from the very young to the very elderly, to gain a vast amount of experience in all aspects of dentistry. Dipti’s main interests include cosmetic dentistry, which led her to complete postgraduate training by the well- renowned Christopher Orr in Advanced Cosmetic and Restorative Dentistry. This has broadened her skills to now carry out simple orthodontic cases with clear braces and facial aesthetics.

From July 2018, Dipti is now principle dentist of Andrews Dental Care where she will continue to provide high quality care, in a compassionate and caring approach. Her primary aim is to treat patients in an ethical and professional way as she has always done. She welcomes existing and new patients to the practice, as well as old familiar faces!

Outside of the practice, all her time is spent with her husband and two children, Aurin and Juhi.

She enjoys baking on a weekly basis, as well as painting and reading. Dipti enjoys travelling but holidays are restricted to child friendly destinations at present! She hopes to explore further away with time. I look forward to meeting you.

Teresa

Teresa Andrews – Dentist - GDC no. 50383

Teresa was born and educated in Manchester, and graduated from the University of Manchester in 1976 as Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS), gaining a Distinction in Clinical Dental Surgery in her finals.

Since graduating, Teresa has worked in the UK, Saudi Arabia and Zululand. In 2006 she started up her own practice Andrews Dental Care in Uppingham, Rutland.  Her skills and extensive experience lie predominately in oral surgery, the prevention and treatment of periodontal disease, and the cosmetic treatments required to give people a beautiful smile.  Her first love isn’t just teeth, it is also very much the person that they belong to, and she remains intensely passionate about dentistry.

Teresa has two children, her daughter lives and works in London, and her son is currently studying for his PhD at MIT in America.  She loves the ballet, walking, reading and gardening.  She is well travelled, usually backpacking in the wild corners of this amazing world.  Memorable trips include travelling from China to Tibet through the Himalayas seeing Mount Everest from Base Camp by the light of the full moon and clear skies.  She still loves to visit new places of interest, and plans to tour New Zealand soon.  She is active and  inquisitive, and very hard-working.

Christine

Christine Irving - Dental Nurse - GDC no. 111053

Chris has lived in Lincolnshire all her life, and first started as a Dental Nurse back in 1973.  She has worked with Teresa for 10 years now, and is a vital member of the team.  She is extremely experienced in her work, and is always enthusiastic about new ideas and techniques.  One of her strengths is the ability to wear her “Girl Friday” hat and turn her hand to all aspects of work within the practice, including the computer systems.

Chris is happily married, and spends her spare time walking their bearded collie dog Betsy, eating out, and travelling to hot sunny climes when possible.  She confesses to being an occasional chocoholic.

Laura

Laura McGlade - Dental Nurse / Receptionist

Laura has lived her entire life in Northamptonshire, and trained at the University of Northampton, where she qualified as a dental nurse in 2001. She is a busy mother of three delightful children (two daughters and a son) and currently works part-time, balancing her busy lifestyle between work and family commitments.

Laura first worked with Teresa back in 2004, and was an integral part of the team when Andrews Dental Care opened its doors in 2006. Laura loves meeting people, and her friendly approach is ideally suited to helping patients feel at ease in the surgery. When spare time is available, Laura can be found gardening or walking her very friendly beagle Lee-Lou.

The practice also draws upon the services of Hazel Hirst who is a UKCP Registered Therapist full qualified in TA (transactional analysis) and NLP (neuro-linguistic programming) and has a 98% success rate in helping patients overcome their phobias including dental fears.
